Description: Stuck in isolation and need a new project to sink your teeth into? This tutorial is the first of a new series of tutorials catered towards beginner students who have never played the piano before or are just starting out. I'm tempted to do some more advanced tutorials at a later point in time for the more advance pianists out there, but still workshopping ideas in my head as to what's the best way to cater to such a broad range of levels. I'll also try to answer as many questions as I can in the comments below, but if you know the answer, feel free to help out others. If you're interested in learning some theory, I recommend checking out musictheory.net (in particular their Exercises section), which I've been using for over a decade and still use to this day. This is the exercise I recommend in the tutorial to help you learn the white keys if you’re unfamiliar with them: musictheory.net/exercises/keyboard I’d suggest learning the keys by rote and avoid counting up from a reference note every time.
